Anyway, back on the positivity train: I got my tablet working again, by fiddling with the USB cable that appeared to be bent slightly even though I have no idea how that can possibly have happened when all it does is sit on my desk. But there ya go, sorted for now at least.

The last few days have been awesome and I’m sad that I come on here and just moan about crap instead of writing about the happy things.

So as you all know from my rambling, I bought a Wacom Bamboo Pen about a month or so ago.

I’ve seen a fair few posts on the Wacom tag about the USB wire and connections playing up but I thought ‘ahhh they’re probably just tossing it about/not looking after it’ and presumed (rather arrogantly, clearly) that this would not affect me.

Today I have tried to use my tablet and the connection keeps dropping out, the USB is wobbling all over the place, and it’s basically unusable.

I HAVE HAD THIS A MONTH.

I HAVE BARELY USED IT AS I’VE HAD EXAMS/DISSERTATION.

I HAVE NOT DROPPED IT, THROWN IT AROUND, TAKEN IT OUTSIDE, OR GENERALLY TREATED IT POORLY. It has been on my desk or by the side of my desk whenever it’s not been in my lap, and I’m ridiculously careful with my things in general.

So unimpressed right now, especially as I’ve been raving away about how great it is to everyone! Is it some kind of deliberate build quality issue so you go out and buy the wireless thing? Would that even help or is it the USB port itself that’s a mess? Is this covered by warranty or are they gonna try and blame me for it?

NOT IMPRESSED WACOM!
